The 2008 iDebate: Developing Leaders with General Tommy Franks took place from August 3 to August 8, 2008 at Oklahoma Christian University in Edmond, OK. Gaining national exposure, the inaugural event hosted 48 of the brightest high school students who spent the week debating the issues permeating this year's election, enhancing their debate technique and learning leadership skills from General Tommy Franks himself.

Throughout the week, students debated the topics of flat tax, privatizing Social Security, and universal health care. Lead by seasoned debate coaches, students also interacted with distinguished scholars from the various topics.  Students were also immersed in understanding leadership skills from some of the most respected names in the field.

The event culminated on Thursday, August 7, 2008 with a final debate moderated by FOX News' Judge Andrew Napolitano.
